Softball Recap: Campbell Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Campbell won against Mililani last Saturday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Sabers' way against the Leilehua Mighty Mules as they made off with a 14-3 win. Considering the Sabers have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Taylor Mendoza was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. Kaienna Fuentes-Arellano was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Campbell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in six consecutive games.

Campbell's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Leilehua, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Campbell is set to take on their familiar foe Wai'anae at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Leilehua will square off against rival Kapolei at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
