The Floyd Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elida. Floyd lost against Elida in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-35 score last time.
Elida was led to victory by Hardy Fraze and Seth Jimenez. Fraze scored 17 points, while Jimenez scored 19 points.
Floyd's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11. As for Elida, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gateway Christian the next time they take the court. Floyd will host Gateway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Elida will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
