Sparks lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Truckee, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's   contest. The Railroaders were the clear victors by  a  16-2 margin over the Wolverines on Wednesday. Considering the Railroaders have won six matches by more than 12  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Bailey Hunden was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Guadalupe Vega Rivera was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ellise Henderson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Sparks  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .694. They are 7-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Sparks' victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-10. As for Truckee,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-15.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolverines beat Sparks by a score of  19-9 later that day.
