After a string of nine wins, the Notre Dame Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of South Gallia by a score of 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Notre Dame still got an impressive performance from Gracie Ashley, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Ella Kirby was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Notre Dame's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-3. As for South Gallia, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Notre Dame will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fairland at 6:00 p.m. Fairland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Notre Dame likes a good challenge. South Gallia's road trip will continue as they head out to face Clay at 8:00 p.m. on February 15th.
