The Roosevelt Roughriders and the Lakeside Lions squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Roosevelt Roughriders had to settle for second. They took a hard 67-49 fall against the Lions. Roosevelt has struggled against Lakeside recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Roosevelt's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jasmine Hall, who scored 16 points, and Ava Dorling who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Emma Curtis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Lakeside, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-39 defeat vs. Seattle Prep on the 8th. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
