On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the White Station Spartans beat the St. George's Gryphons 62-57. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Despite the defeat, St. George's saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carson Crump went 9 for 22 on his way to 21 points and four steals. Crump is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jackson Jones was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

The win got White Station back to even at 4-4. As for St. George's, they moved to 4-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

White Station will venture away from home to square off against First Assembly Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. George's, they will square off against Fairley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (St. George's has won three straight at home, while Fairley won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
