Fort Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Van Arsdale Cardinals, falling 17-10. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring match to date.

August Porter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cruz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Fort Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Van Arsdale, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Coincidentally, Fort Hamilton and Van Arsdale will both be playing Curtis the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
