It was a good run, but Red Oak unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hallsville Bobcats.

Aliah Earls paced Red Oak's offense, picking up six kills. Earls got some help from Maleah Ellis and her eight assists. Ellis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Red Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Hallsville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Red Oak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Pine Tree on the 23rd. As for Hallsville, they will venture away from home to face off against Texas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
