The Stanley-Boyd Orioles will square off against the Cadott Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stanley-Boyd has five straight victories, Cadott has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Stanley-Boyd barely beat McDonell Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Orioles were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Macks on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Orioles, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Caitlen Ketterhagen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Sikora, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelly Lew, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Stanley-Boyd was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Cadott came up short against Bloomer on Tuesday, falling 14-4.
Cadott saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasey Moldrem, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Karlee Davis was another, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Stanley-Boyd pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Cadott, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Cadott's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stanley-Boyd has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Cadott, though, as they've been averaging 11.2 hits. Given Stanley-Boyd's sizable advantage in that area, the Hornets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Stanley-Boyd couldn't quite get it done against Cadott when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Will the Orioles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
