There's no place like home for The Rouse Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against Elgin on Thursday as Rouse made off with a 42-21 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Rouse just coasted through the last quarter.
Rouse found their leader in underclassman London Morgan, who threw for 397 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Keller Rogers, who picked up 228 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Elgin still got an impressive performance from Nathen Lewis, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
Rouse's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Elgin, their defeat was their third straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 4-6.
Rouse will face off against McCallum at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. One thing working in McCallum's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
