On Friday, Cabrillo was able to grind out a solid win over Morro Bay, taking the game 28-21.

Perhaps the best among them was Andre Brisco, who rushed for 130 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Brisco got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards. Jacob Baraceros was another key rusher, rushing for 135 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-19 win over Modesto Christian on Friday.
A big part of Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Andrew Sanchez and his top target Quincy Moore. Sanchez threw for 135 yards and one TD while Moore rushed for 114 yards. Moore also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles. Jeremiah Lee also helped with two scores in total.
The win got Central back to even at 2-2. As for Cabrillo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
