On Friday, The Kanab Cowboys''s game was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Millard 14-13. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kanab.
Kanab's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddix Baird, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown. Baird's longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.
Kanab's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Millard, their loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 5-6.
Kanab will square off against Beaver at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Beaver will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Millard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
