On the hitting side, Brock Stuck and Matthew Hellman did most of the damage at the plate: Stuck went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hellman went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Hellman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Bongard, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Nicolet was able to grind out a solid victory over Milwaukee King in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
