The Oak Hill Golden Eagles lost against the Frankton Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Oak Hill fell 39-27 to Frankton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oak Hill in their matchups with Frankton: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Oak Hill still got an impressive performance from Alivia Shaw, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Landri Hardman, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frankton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Sperry, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Collins, who scored 12 points.
Oak Hill's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Frankton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Oak Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison-Grant at 10:00 a.m. on December 30th. Madison-Grant is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Frankton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Connersville at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Connersville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
