The Revere Minutemen will head out on the road to take on the Copley Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Revere will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Copley is ranked 17th).
Last Wednesday, Revere came up short against Highland and fell 57-50.
Meanwhile, Copley entered their tilt with Barberton with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Copley claimed a resounding 62-30 win over Barberton on the road. Copley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Izzy Callaway continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Copley's points. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Mcknight, who scored 11 points.
Revere's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Copley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Revere ended up a good deal behind Copley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 56-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Callaway, who scored 29 points. Now that Revere knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
