The Loveland Red Wolves can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Poudre by a score of 48-39. This was payback for Loveland, who suffered a 60-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Loveland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zayne Desouza out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Ryder Eastin was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Poudre lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Foster, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Pierce Decker, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Loveland's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Poudre, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Loveland will head out on the road to face off against Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Legacy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Poudre, they will be playing at home against Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
