The Paris Coyotes pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 82-57 defeat to North Callaway might stick with them for a while. Paris has struggled against North Callaway recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading North Callaway to victory were Sam Pezold and Isiah Craighead. Pezold scored 27 points along with six assists and six steals, while Craighead shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 33 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Craighead's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Blair, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Paris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Callaway, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Paris will head out on the road to face off against Fayette at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Callaway will be home for the holidays to greet Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
