After having lost a blowout in their previous game against First Coast, the ED White Commanders were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They managed a 46-41 victory over Englewood. That result was just more of the same for these two, as ED White also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
ED White's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Vincent led the charge by scoring nine points along with two steals. Keith Godboldt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Englewood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kevon Roulhac, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Roulhac has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalen Scarver, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
ED White's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Englewood, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
ED White will take on the Blue Devils at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Clay is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Englewood, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Senators at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Fletcher presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Rams in Florida (the Senators are ranked 321st, while the Rams are ranked 682nd).
