Meanwhile, Edwardsville faced East St. Louis in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Edwardsville was dealt a 27-0 loss at the hands of East St. Louis on Saturday. The low total for Edwardsville limited their streak of high-flying scores to six in a row.
Although Edwardsville took the loss, they still got scores from Javion Smith and Kellen Brnfre.
De Smet Jesuit's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-0. They've been dominating across those matchups too: they took their wins by an average of 31 points. Having lost for the first time this season, Edwardsville fell to 7-1.
