Glades Day has gone 7-1 against Palm Beach Lakes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Glades Day is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Glades Day is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Glades Central on Friday as they made off with a 15-9 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.
Adrian Baeza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Glades Day got a massive performance out of Taranza McKelvin Jr, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs McKelvin Jr has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Mcallister, who went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Glades Day kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Berean Christian hit Palm Beach Lakes with a six-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams lost 13-5 to the Bulldogs.
Gabriel Hall made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ramyl Guzman, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Palm Beach Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Glades Day, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glades Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palm Beach Lakes struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Glades Day's way against Palm Beach Lakes when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Glades Day made off with a 15-5 win. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
