The Henderson Warriors will challenge the Unionville Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Henderson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Henderson's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bayard Rustin 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

| 03/19/26 @ Avon Grove | 2 |
| 03/24/26 @ Kennett | 2 |

| 04/10/26 vs Coatesville | 3 |
Not much got past Anthony Barthol, who gave up just eight hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Bayard Rustin off the board. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Barthol.
At the plate, Henderson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Ward, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Avon Grove hit Unionville with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Longhorns took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Unionville also got a good showing from Brendan Heyer, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Heyer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Alex Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double was his first of the season. Logan Grayston was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Henderson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Unionville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Henderson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Unionville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Henderson came out on top in a nail-biter against Unionville when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Longhorns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
