The Follett Panthers will take on the Forgan Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Follett has four straight victories, the Bulldogs have four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Follett strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 47-28.
Follett got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kimber Wheatley out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Wheatley hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Reyna Rosales, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, Forgan suffered a rough 59-35 loss at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday. Forgan has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Follett's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. As for Forgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Follett took a serious blow against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 60-18. Can Follett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
