This season hasn't been kind to the Griffin School Griffins, who are still winless after their 12th game. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Mary on Thursday.
Among those leading the charge was Tyler Zimmerhanzel, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Mary's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Altman, who scored ten points.
Griffin School dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Mary's, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griffin School will take on Austin Peace Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Austin Peace Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for St. Mary's, they will be playing at home against Sterling Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
