The Northview Chiefs will head out on the road to take on the Gulf Breeze Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Northview took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Navarre, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chiefs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Mikayla McAnally

04/03/25 vs Jay | 5 |
03/26/25 vs West Florida | 9 |
03/22/25 vs T.R. Miller | 10 |
03/22/25 vs Thomasville | 13 |
03/21/25 vs Robertsdale | 7 |
Mikayla McAnally spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Northview let Aubrey Hadley and Riley Brooks run wild. Hadley went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI, while Brooks went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addysen Bolen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze suffered their closest defeat since April 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of T.R. Miller by a score of 3-1. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gulf Breeze also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Jacey Reed gave up three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
Gulf Breeze's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Northview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Northview's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Chiefs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Gulf Breeze, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Northview continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Northview's way against Gulf Breeze when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Northview made off with a 14-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
