Delta Academy extended the longest winning streak in MAIS 8-Man District 6 (8 Man) this week by beating Briarfield Academy, 14-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Raiders.
Sharkey Issaquena Academy took down Tensas Academy 38-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jack Martin threw for 56 yards and ran for 15 yards in the win.
Sharkey Issaquena Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Confederates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Martin has thrown for 511 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Austin Steed has 13 catches for 202 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Confederates and Marvell Academy. Sharkey Issaquena Academy enters the contest ranked first in the state, while the Eagles ranks first.
Billy Caston's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on the Chiefs. Martin during the win.
