The result was an unpleasant reminder to Jefferson Independent Day of the 52-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Jefferson Independent Day lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Twiss, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Long, who scored ten points.
Jefferson Independent Day has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Exeter, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
