Dunnellon is a perfect 10-0 against Belleview since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will welcome the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. Dunnellon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with 11 straight losses, while Belleview will come in with three straight wins.
On Monday, Dunnellon came up short against Chiefland and fell 6-2.
Beecham Small was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Dunnellon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Payne, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belleview). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Seven Rivers Christian on Monday. With that victory, the Rattlers brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.
Ryan Earnest looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Gilbehert Mendoza was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Belleview is undefeated when Mendoza posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Lazaro Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Belleview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Belleview's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dunnellon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
Dunnellon got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Belleview by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rattlers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
