With a playoff win on the line, Gibsonburg rose to the challenge  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ada Bulldogs  a   4-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Bears sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The result came thanks to  Alivia Wauford's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ava Amor was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ansley Fleming, who  went 3-for-4 with one  run.
Gibsonburg's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Ada,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 23-5 record.
As of now, neither Gibsonburg nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
