The North Hagerstown Hubs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 57-12 defeat at the hands of Oakdale. While losing is never fun, North Hagerstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Oakdale is ranked 14th).
Despite the defeat, North Hagerstown saw an underclassman step up: James Jackson rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Jackson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
North Hagerstown's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Oakdale, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
North Hagerstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakdale will face off against Sherwood at TBD on Friday. Sherwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
