The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sparta Academy, who took down 338th ranked Jackson Academy, 41-34.
Pickens Academy extended the longest winning streak in AISA A Region 2 this week by beating Marengo Academy, 28-16. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Jackson Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. John Earl Kelly has thrown for 163 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Michael Christianson has four catches for 94 yards. Taylor Carpenter leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Longhorns take on the Sparta Warriors. Marengo Academy is in second place, while Sparta Academy is in fourth place.
Sumter Academy took down Eastwood Christian 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
