Football Recap: Fort Worth Christian Piles Up the Points Against Hyde Park

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Worth Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Hyde Park Panthers, posting a 42-10 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Landon Gigliotta continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 239 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards and one touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Fort Worth Christian's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Kason Anding was another key player, rushing for 140 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fort Worth Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

The win made it two in a row for Fort Worth Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Hyde Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Fort Worth Christian will square off against All S at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Saints have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine games. Hyde Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
