The Yellville-Summit Panthers will venture away from home to  challenge the Atkins Red Devils  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Yellville-Summit comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Yellville-Summit is headed into the  contest out to prove that what happened against Melbourne  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers had to suffer through  a    62-21 loss at the hands of the Bearkatz. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  27-7.

Yellville-Summit might have lost, but man,  Kobyn Hubbard was a machine:  he picked up 188 receiving yards and two  touchdowns. Hubbard was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards. Yellville-Summit also got a significant boost from  Eli Gerth, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
 Even if they lost, Yellville-Summit's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Gerth,  Ethan McCalla,  and  Ryland Lunde, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
 Meanwhile, Atkins got the win against Quitman  on Friday by a conclusive  35-13. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won seven matchups by 22  points or more  so far this season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Atkins and  bumps their season record up to 7-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Yellville-Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Yellville-Summit was taken down by Atkins 50-14 in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024.
