Jackson Gillespie Delivers Electric Effort Vs Smith Center
Starting off the list is Thomas More Prep-Marian's Jackson Gillespie, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Gillespie rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Norton Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Eli Jones
Norton picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Eli Jones. Jones was unstoppable, throwing for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Jones is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Russell on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Broncos), he rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Backman and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Tyler Backman was instrumental in extending Norton's winning streak to five on Friday. Backman was unstoppable, rushing for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Beloit's probably not too fond of Backman given he always seems to get the better of them. When Backman last faced the Trojans back in October of 2023, he rushed for 71 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.

Rex Eberle Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Rex Eberle of Oakley. Eberle picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.
For the season, Eberle has averaged 3.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging one total tackle per game.
