The Perry Commodores have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Ada with a sharp 47-22 victory on Saturday. That 47-22 margin sets a new team best for Perry this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khaliah Luster, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexenna Lee, who scored six points along with 19 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Perry and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Ada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Pandora-Gilboa is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ada, they will be playing at home against Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
