Kent-Meridian will challenge Mt. Rainier on the road at 5:00 PM on Friday. Mt. Rainier will need to watch out since Kent-Meridian have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Kent-Meridian were able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson last Saturday, winning 35-28.
Meanwhile, Mt. Rainier were fully in charge, breezing past Decatur 42-7. Mt. Rainier were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Kent-Meridian to 3-4 and Mt. Rainier to 2-5. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
