Hiawatha is 0-10 against Somonauk since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hiawatha Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Somonauk Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Hiawatha is hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Hiawatha suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Yorkville Christian on the road and fell 84-48.
Meanwhile, Somonauk's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 61-48 to Earlville. Somonauk has not had much luck with Earlville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Somonauk, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Hiawatha came up short against Somonauk when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 67-55. Can Hiawatha avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
