On Friday, The Lakeridge Pacers faced the West Linn Lions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lakeridge was beaten by West Linn 52-10. Lakeridge lost against West Linn in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-6 score last time.
Gabriel Motschenbacher threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. Zyon Floyd was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Jaden Swan rushed for 48 yards.
Lakeridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for West Linn, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeridge will take on Lake Oswego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Lake Oswego is ranked seventh, while Lakeridge is ranked ninth). As for West Linn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oregon City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oregon City is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
