Perryville extended the longest winning streak in Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna this week by beating North East, 35-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Patterson Mill was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Patterson Mill triumphed over Bohemia Manor 20-6.
Perryville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Cunningham threw for 96 and one touchdown and Josh Ingram had 96 yards receiving. On the ground Joe Peaker chipped in 246 yards. Brian Matthews helped Perryville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Perryville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Elijah Johnson has thrown for 544 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Matthews has 11 catches for 282 yards. Peaker leads the league in rushing with 760 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Chris Johnson's team takes on Elkton. The Panthers have allowed 38 points this season, while the Golden Elks have given up 43. Perryville allowed 6 points last week as it bested the Indians.
