Calhan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylee Barnes, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Those seven boards gave Barnes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Peterson, who put up five points along with ten boards and eight steals.
Kassiah Ducworth had an outrageously good game for Ellicott as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Ducworth is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Micheyla Stewart was another key player, putting up ten points along with six boards and five assists.
Calhan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ellicott, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
