The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Becker in their matchups with Sauk Rapids-Rice: they've now lost five in a row.
Becker lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nathan Weiss, who scored 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyan Blomquist, who scored 17 points.
Becker's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Becker and Mandan will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th at. Mandan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 426 points over their last six matchups. Sauk Rapids-Rice is on the road again on December 29th and play against Albany at 8:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Minnesota (Albany is ranked 78th, while Sauk Rapids-Rice is ranked 58th).
