 In other batting news, Englewood let  Skyly Hyers and  Kammarria Pate run wild. Hyers  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Pate  scored three  runs and  stole  Five bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kiandra Carswell, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Englewood  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted  an  OBP of  .133.
Englewood's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Parker,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood will square off against Raines at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Raines has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17  runs per game on average), something Englewood will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parker, they will challenge Stanton at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Stanton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15  runs per game  this season.
