The Syracuse Titans will head out to face off against the Mountain Crest Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Syracuse is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Syracuse blew Dixie out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Dixie got their revenge. The Titans fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 6-4.
Devyn Dewey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Paizlee Prathan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Mountain Crest posted their closest victory since April 16, 2025 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Snow Canyon, sneaking past 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
Hadlee Christensen spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addisyn LaRocco, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Mountain Crest hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.
Mountain Crest's record now sits at 2-4. As for Syracuse, the loss was their first on the road, dropping their record down to 2-4.
Mountain Crest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Syracuse hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .465. It's a different story for Mountain Crest, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Syracuse's hitters?
Everything went Syracuse's way against Mountain Crest in their previous matchup back in April of 2016, as Syracuse made off with a 10-4 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
