After soaring to 89 points the game before, the Hillcrest Vikings were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Booker T. Washington 46-18. Hillcrest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Booker T. Washington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Booker T. Washington can attribute much of their success to Cariyonna Banks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jamyia Bullins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Booker T. Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Booker T. Washington, they will challenge Melrose at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Melrose is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
