The Parowan Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They took a serious blow against South Sevier, falling 78-39. Parowan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-16.
When it comes to explaining why Parowan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bella Robinson. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 59% of Parowan's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sage Packwood was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Parowan struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Kinley Jenson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Sevier, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnee Patterson, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Parowan's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-14. As for South Sevier, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parowan will take on Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Millard is ranked 95th, while Parowan is ranked 118th). As for South Sevier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kanab is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
