Fort Wayne Bishop Luers had a senior duo take command as Addie Shank scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals and Annika Davis scored 15 points along with two steals. Shank is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Wareing, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Whitko entered their tilt with Northfield with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Whitko skirted past Northfield 47-45. Given Whitko's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Northfield is ranked 263rd), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Whitko, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
