The Durant Cougars will face off against the Plant Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Durant is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
While Durant's victory against East Bay wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Indians 9-7.
Betty Oderio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Chancey, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lennox Ullrich, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
Plant never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Robinson on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Knights. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Plant let Kate Compton and Anabel Ramirez run wild. Compton scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Ramirez scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Olive Masters, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Plant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Plant's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Durant, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Durant couldn't quite finish off Plant when the teams last played back in March and fell 3-1. Will the Cougars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
