It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Holy Cross Knights can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 28-13 to the Chargers. Holy Cross' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Gibby Alvarado threw for 179 yards on 14 of 28 attempts.
Nicholas Hall was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards. On the ground,
Taylor Flores rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Dallas Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaden Davis, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Davis was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Luke Carney, who threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Dallas Christian, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
