The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elite Scholars Academy in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Grant, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jerel Clark, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Elite Scholars Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Columbia, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Elite Scholars Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
