The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Despite the loss, Cambridge had strong showings from Elisabeth Kubik, who posted seven points and three steals, and Mallory Springer, who had five points along with five boards and four steals.
Arapahoe found their leader in freshman Suttyn Shafer, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 23 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shafer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clara Hilker, who made all 5 shots she took for 11 points.
Cambridge now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Arapahoe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Cambridge has already played their next contest (against Medicine Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arapahoe will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alma at 6:45 p.m. on February 4th.
