Softball Recap: Salado Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Salado had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They never let the Jarrell Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Salado pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Jarrell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salado will venture away from home to square off against Lampasas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jarrell, they will take on Burnet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burnet will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Jarrell surely won't give up without a fight.
